All I Want...

So, as you might have heard the hockey season will be locked out all the way until December 14th.

Can I have some lame sauce to go on my sadness sundae?

Which seriously sucks because I had an entire schedule of games planned out and that list is quickly diminishing.
Unfortunately, I don't really care much about football so I have no winter sport to watch.

Sorry football fans. It's nothing personal. I just can't get in to it. I hope we can still be friends...

Anyways, I digress.
I see all these pictures and posts about hockey players playing in other leagues around the world.
I'm so jelly of those fans who get to watch you could make a sandwich out of me.
There's oodles of players doing it, but just to name a few...
Viktor Stalberg playing for Frolunda in Sweden.
Evgeni Malkin playing for Metallurg Magnitogorsk in Russia.
Cory Emmerton playing for SaiPA in Finland. (Anyone else think he should be the next Hey Boy!)
Victor Hedman playing for Barys Astana in Kazakhstan.
Not just those though. Recently, there was a Hurricane Sandy charity hockey game.
I mean seriously. Can these guys get any better???

It seems like as soon as we hear the NHLPA and the owners have a new meeting scheduled to discuss the CBA, giving us fans a glimmer of hope, they rip it out from under us saying they're back to square one.

All I want for Christmas is my hockey season back!

Happy Birthday Gabe the Babe.

On this day 20 years ago the world was blessed with Gabriel Landeskog.

Apparently this week is dedicated to Gaber. And I for one am not ashamed.

 He's just so...
 perfect.

Hold up, buttercup. What is this??
 He's a dog lover.
I have 2.
He's good with kids.
I teach kindergarten.
AND He does work for his community!
I participated in Small Business Saturday. (That's community work, right?)

I just died.
Maybe him and Jeff Skinner can come over to my house dressed like firemen and save me?
They already have the clothes.
 Or lack there of...

I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Thank you Tony and Cecelia Landeskog for this gorgeous man.
I have a plaid shirt too. Can I come join this little sandwich of happiness?

Happy birthday, Gabe!

We're Thankful For...

Here at TSC we are very grateful for all of our readers.
You are the reason we do this blog.

We love these sports and the men who play them.

Our hope is to make you laugh, give a woman's perspective on something, and make you swoon after these gentlemen as much as we do.

So far we've only written about stuff we love.
Yep, those guys.

And more things to come...Like bromances that make the world go 'round.

We want you to be able to read stuff you guys specifically like too.
We're taking requests for any Hey Boy or topic you guys would like to see on here.
You can let us know what or who you would like by telling us know on our twitter:
or in the comments below.
We hope to hear from you guys soon.

And again, Thank you so much!

Hey Boy: Gabriel Landeskog

Never has a nickname been more deserved than Gabe the Babe.

He's still only 19 years old(He will turn 20 on November 23. HAPPY almost BIRTHDAY!), but his abilities are far beyond his years.
Back in September he was named the new captain of the Colorado Avalanche. That officially makes him the youngest captain in NHL history. I wonder if he celebrated by doing his signature move...
Landeskoging anyone?

Careful sweetie. Don't want to get to carried away and hurt your perfect face.
Yep, that one.

This was all coming off his win of the Calder Trophy back in June at the NHL Awards.
His speech was my favorite of the night.
Not only is he just totally freaking adorable, but he dedicated it to his grandfather who had passed away in February.
I must admit, the entire time up to that point I was rooting for love of my life, Adam Henrique.
It wasn't my fault. It's automatic reaction. I hear he's nominated for anything and my vote goes to him.

BUT as soon as Mr. Landeskog gave his acceptance speech, that was it. I felt as if I should have been wanting him to win the whole time.

The rest of the summer was very, very good to Gabe.
Hey, this California girl loves to go boating too! I'm free next summer. I'll bring my own life jacket!

But, because of the lockout he has since gone back to Sweden to play hockey. It looks like he's having just a grand ol' time at home.
Am I the only one who is jealous of this guy who's half-hugging him?

Someone give this guy a pair of sunglasses and a neuralizer because he makes this suit look good!

All I have to say is, thank you Sweden....
Thank you a lot.

(Tyler) Seguin Sunday

NHL Tyler Seguin:

Filling my Hockey VOID.

First off I am a sucker for a guy with an accent. Yes, Segs has one of those baby-faces that should never have a Movember 'stache, even though he's currently got one. But guys, he's got a Canadian accent, he is just flat out gorgeous, AND loves his puppy as much as I love mine.

The instant I saw this video (months ago..) of Segs baby-talking to his Chocolate Lab puppy Marshall... That was IT. Done. Fin. Over.

He talks to Marshall like I do to my dogs...  How will any man ever compare? He's ruined me. I shall hate him forever.

Well... maybe not forever. Maybe I will hate him for a second, then get over it. I mean, COME ON!! Does he really have to be just so great!?

Admit it. You wish you were napping with him too. Let's be jealous of this puppy together.

In case you didn't know, Tyler Seguin is currently in Switzerland EHC Biel.
He does look good in blue.

Can we get him back in the black and gold?

"Who me?"

Yeah, you. Let's look at your abs smile..

What a tease.

Seraphinas's Notes:
Ya'll, I'm comin up empty on inspiration. Baseball is over. Hockey is still in a damned Lockout. I fill my sports loving void with Football. Though, I hardly understand it all. It's so complicated. I don't like being confused for FOUR HOURS per game. And at my house, EVERY hour on a Sunday starting at 10am during FB season, is spent WATCHING. FOOTBALL. Oh! and don't forget Thursday & Monday nights.

Should I add I'm part of a Fantasy Football League? I resent this fact. Blame it on the lockout.
